It is very important to read this Delivery Policy to ensure deliveries can be made successfully. If you have any concerns about delivery, please contact us prior to placing your order.
You will receive an email confirming your order has been received when you have completed checkout. We will then process your order and allocate a delivery day, at which time a second email will be sent to you confirming your Delivery Method and date. The delivery method ‘hiab/crane’ or ‘van’ – along with the relevant vehicle dimensions and restrictions will be contained in this email, therefore it is essential that you read it carefully to ensure you receive your order successfully.
Delivery Methods
- The majority of our deliveries are made via a ‘hiab’/crane vehicle.
- It is preferable for someone to be available to accept the delivery. However, we are still able to deliver if nobody is present. The delivery driver will determine the most appropriate positioning for your goods. With unattended deliveries, Raycox Turf LTD cannot accept any liability for theft, product deterioration or consequences arising from the positioning of your delivery.
- We undertake to place the goods as close to your property as is deemed safe by the driver.
- In order to maximise delivery efficiencies, where possible multiple goods may delivered as a single pallet consignment.
- For any delivery requested to be made off the hard roadway you will be asked by the driver to sign and indemnity confirmation.
Failed deliveries
Where deliveries cannot be made due to insufficient access to the delivery address or difficulties on the approach to the address, an unsuitable offloading area, obstructions, or where incorrect/insufficient instructions have been provided, a charge of £30 (plus. VAT) per pallet will be made for redelivery or return of the items to Raycox Turf.
If redelivery is requested, fees must be paid prior to an order being released for redelivery; if the order is returned to Raycox Turf, the £30 charge per pallet will be deducted from any outstanding refund due.
Due to the perishable nature of turf, where delivery cannot be made successfully we will be unable to refund the amount paid for the turf.
Hiab deliveries
- ‘Hiab’ vehicles are approximately 9.2 metres (30ft) long, 2.5 metres (8.2ft) wide, 3.6 metres (12ft) high. Please allow 2 metres clearance on each side of the vehicle to enable safe operation.
- The crane cannot operate in close proximity to overhead obstructions such as cables or tree branches and cannot be used to lift pallets over parked vehicles.
Tail lift & manual pallet truck deliveries
- Vehicles are generally up to 11 metres (36′) long, 2.5 metres (8′ 2″) wide, 4.6 metres (15′) high.
- You must ensure that there are no obstructions to delivery, such as parked cars, low bridges, overhanging branches or weight restrictions.
- Pallets are off-loaded using a tail lift and positioned using a manual pallet truck.
- Manual pallet trucks can only operate on a flat, level, concreted, or similar firm surface. They cannot operate on slopes, gravel, earth, grass or any other type of non-solid surface.
