Pests & Diseases
From time to time lawns can unfortunately be affected by turf pests or diseases. Diseases are usually caused by naturally occurring fungi, which for the most part are beneficial. However, they can sometimes cause disease when weather conditions are conducive and the grass plants are under stress and therefore more susceptible to the disease. Insects that feed on the roots of the grass plants can cause the lawn to turn yellow and slow down growth.

The signs of pests or diseases affecting your lawn can be quite similar to each other. Make sure you identify the correct cause before trying to tackle it, as the wrong treatment could make things worse.
A well maintained, healthy lawn will have greater resistance to pest and diseases and, should it be affected, will recover quicker.
